Buddy and Reagan might just be the cutest BFFs you’ve ever seen.
However, the adorable toddler and doggy duo, from Portland, Oregon are more than just a pretty pair of faces.
Having become an unlikely hit on Instagram, they’re releasing a photo book to raise money for a local foster parenting charity.
As Sandi Swiridoff, the foster grandmother of 3-year-old Buddy and creator of the forthcoming book, told the Daily Mail, “The touching, true story of Reagan and Little Buddy needed to be told. I couldn’t keep all the adorableness to myself.”
Swiridoff went on, “Granted, photos of the two of them are regular features on his Instagram, but the book is different. It includes never before seen photos, showcasing their relationship from the time they first met, up until now, almost two years later… Their story is one of a strong bond and a sweet friendship, and includes a few surprises.”
Whether playing on the swings, enjoying a boat trip on the lake, or having a coffee at home, Buddy and Reagan do everything together.
It’s a friendship that could never have been predicted when Reagan was adopted as an 8-week-old pup and Buddy as an 11-month-old baby.
However, as Sandi Swiridoff goes on to say, “Reagan is great with kids and other dogs. He hasn’t met another dog or person that he doesn’t like. Adopting Reagan was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. He has added so much joy to our lives, and to the lives of many other people.”
With proceeds from the book going to the Foster Parents Night Out charity, Buddy and Reagan can continue to spread that joy further and further.
